Gilbert Police have confirmed Anne Carver was not abducted or kidnapped when she went missing from her Gilbert home last Monday.
Instead, Carver left and came back on her own, police said.
Carver, 34, went missing from her neighborhood near Queen Creek and Greenfield roads after an early morning jog with her dog. last Monday.
The dog was found wandering the neighborhood with its leash still on.
After three days of round-the-clock searching, Carver was found walking toward her house early Thursday.
Gilbert Police said at the time they were investigating possible foul play and that the disappearance was suspicious.
On Monday, they said the investigation had concluded.
“She left her residence on her own accord and returned home on her own, said Gilbert Police Cmdr. Ken Fixel. “As far as where she was at and what she did, that's her business.
“But through the course of investigation we determined that no abduction took place.”
Carver's family was mum on why she left her house and where she was, citing privacy issues.
