Court records show that Michelle Berman submitted documents last month to fully dismiss an order of protection she requested against her husband, Gilbert Mayor Steve Berman, on July 22.
In her Oct. 10 request, Michelle Berman cited reconciliation as reason to withdraw the order.
The couple has been seen out in public events and campaigning for Berman's re-election bid for the past few weeks, prompting speculation about their once very public spat.
"We are getting back together and in counseling," she wrote in court documents.
Back in July, Michelle Berman was granted an order of protection against Berman after accusing him of threatening to kill her and being physically abusive.
The Gilbert Police Department turned the case over to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office because of a possible conflict of interest.
MCSO forward its report, with no recommendations about charges, to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.
The case remains under review, a spokesman for the county attornery said earlier this week.
Michelle Berman was also granted an order of protection against Berman's son, Steven Jr.
Michelle Berman then withdrew the orders of protection, but with court-ordered stipulations that required the Bermans to stay 150 feet away from each other.
The full dismissal of the orders of protection means the Bermans can now contact each other without stipulations.
The Bermans were married last fall after dating for six years. This is Steve Berman's fourth marriage.
